My Horse Jewels

This is my horse Jewels.
At first she thought she could have her own way
but she is a lot better now.

Tomorrow she is going to have shoes on her front hooves
for a while. (maybe for ever. but maybe not.)

She is a very good horse and she listens very well
and she is a good barrel racing horse, she likes kids too.

Daddy Brings Something Home With Him

My daddy brought this box turtle
home.

His shell is cracked.

My dad wondered what box turtles eat, and what their habitat is like,
so I looked them up on google to see what they like.

Box turtles eat things like.... dog food, fruit, grass, etc.

We are going to keep him.

(He's so cute!)

My Garden

This is my garden that my grandma and I planted this year.

This is the cucumber plant that took forever to grow.

This is my favorite plant, the watermelon. If you look close you'll see my watermelon. These are my pumpkin plants, which took a long time to grow too. This is my zucchini plant, its very good my Mommy says.
Here is one of my pumpkins. (It looks small but its bigger than this!)
Here is one of my cantaloupes.
We have a summer squash plant too.
My Grandma and my Uncle love summer squash!
It's been a wonderful harvest. ( so far.)

Cooking For Your Family Challenge

My friend Elissa over at Proverbs 31 Maiden has issued series of challenges for young women training to be keepers as home. She is giving away some lovely prizes as well. There is still time to join the fun, if you would like. All you have to do is go to her blog and sign up.

In response to challenge #1 which was, "Cooking for your Family" I post these pictures.
I made chili with biscuits on top.

My big brother helped stir the ground beef while I added the onions.

The table was set. I picked some of our roses from the backyard for the centerpiece.

The candles were lit.

Here is my family sitting down for the meal.

My family all enjoyed it and my big brother said it was even better than my Mom's! (Sorry, Mom!) This was lots of fun and I hope to do some of the other challenges that Elissa has blogged about.

Psalm 111:10

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all Thoughs who do His commandments. His praise endures forever."
